Morning Peers,
Have any of you had issues with IPv6 on Mikrotik, trying to bring back up our Google IPv6 however they cannot ping us on IPv6, I had similar issues with Seacom and rebooted router and then all of a sudden started working again. They need to be able to ping us in order for the BGP session to come up.
Running V7.19.4 Tried turning off firewall rules, you name it. I can't see anything in the Mikrotik Forums regarding this, I'm just wondering if any of you have had similar experiences.
Thank
Hi,
I have experienced similar issues with IPv6 on the same RouterOS version you mentioned, using a CCR 2216. I resolved the problem by downloading and downgrading to an older firmware from the MikroTik website.
I also observed a related ping issue on version 7.19: the BGP peer was connected, and my upstream was correctly receiving and advertising my IPv6 routes, but I could not ping the Google IPv6 DNS from my BGP router.
Additionally, I had a negative experience with PPPoE on version 7.20 and ended up downgrading to 7.18 as I recall.
Hope this helps.
Regards, Amin

Thanks. On V7.20 the PPPOE is an issue is VLANs They have documented this and apparently in latest release have fixed yet, I haven’t tried. I will try downgrade to 7.18 and see if this resolves the issue with ICMP thanks
