Hi list, During the pub session after Zanog2024/iWeek, Sander mentioned his friend that did a Linux router using VPP, so I asked him more information about it, and he responded below. Anybody else that is/have tested similar and could share advice on locally (ie. South African) sourceable parts ? does anyone know of a non-profit/community project/startup school something-something/blah that would want/ably use some WS-C2960S-24TS-L switches? (sorry, you homelab, does not count!). these are all in perfect working condition and were taken out of production, only because they are single-psu devices (and i hate the cisco RPS solution!). off-list responses welcome. —n.

FRR, IS-IS & unnumbered interfaces

Anybody else being as masochistic as I am to attempt using FRR's IS-IS with unnumbered interfaces? It works "like a charm" with IPv6, but IPv4 isn't routed if no IPv4 IPs on the IS-IS connected interfaces. Using Openfabric (based on and in the isisd code), it all just works... correctly (So why am I not using Openfabric? as I want to use it with multi node links/networks which Openfabric doesn't support/do, and I'm interested in interfacing with other network kit, so IS-IS is the beterer choice as openfabric is "dead" in IETF, replaced by the dist-opt-flood extensions to IS-IS) Though Openfabric will happily insert onlink routes on unnumbered interfaces, it seems that IS-IS "needs" to have an IPv4 address on the interface(s), else it doesn't have next hops to insert. I've searched high and low, and couldn't find any setting I've missed, and the source code hasn't been too helpful to see/understand if I'm missing something or if the needs haven't been coded into IS-IS yet. ``` Current configuration: ! urgent freebsd zfs help needed

Hi We ran a zfs split to remove a drive from a 3 drive freebsd zfs mirror on our web server that hosts many client websites. The machine hung. We have not managed to get it up, even with trying to boot with each drive individually. The pool is unavailable. Is there a freebsd zfs expert who could please help us. We urgently need help.
