This is an open participation list, comprising of information and discussion of interest to network operators in South Africa.
List policy:

ZANOG's remit is technical, and any discussion or activities involving commercial, legal or political issues should be limited to where they have a direct impact on technical aspects of network operations.

ZANOG's mailing lists may not be used for promotion of commercial activities or products.

The ZANOG mailing list is primarily about community building and helping individuals to connect and keep in touch with the industry. It is expected that people that subscribe to the ZANOG and related lists, are real individuals that : Speak in their own capacity (unless they explicitly say otherwise) Are willing to identify their real life personas if asked, with proof.
ZANOG respects the right of individual freedom of speech, but will not tolerate paid shills, nor anonymous posters that simply try to create dissent.
If your organisation engages in legal action against the lists or its members, while this action is ongoing, your organisation and known affiliates will be barred from the mailinglist.
