Update on AfPIF 2024 in Kinshasa
The African Peering and Interconnection Forum (AfPIF) 2024 event is scheduled to take place on 20 - 22 August 2024, at the Hilton Hotel in Kinshasa, DRC. Organised by the African IXP Association (Af-IX) and the Internet Society (ISOC), AfPIF aims to promote the development of national and regional cross-border interconnection, providing a platform for the technical community to address peering challenges and opportunities in Africa.
As we prepare for the event, we want to emphasize our confidence in the safety and security of our participants. We are closely monitoring reports and updates regarding the situation in the DRC, and based on current information, Kinshasa continues to be a safe and reliable location for hosting the AfPIF 2024 event.
We understand the importance of providing clarity in order to enable attendees to make travel arrangements and prepare for the forum. We look forward to gathering in Kinshasa to discuss emerging developments in the DRC and the surrounding region, and we are excited about the opportunities that AfPIF 2024 will bring for advancing peering and interconnection efforts in Africa.
