So the Funs I’ve experienced:
ISPs does different things on FttH:
Vumatel ActiveEthernet (L3/DHCP) a.k.a “Trenched”: Doesn’t have IPv6 last I checked… or rather, not all ISPs had the ability/etc. from VumaTle
GPON networks like OpenServer: Typically you’ll have a PPPoE connection (Some have sorta L2/L2TP?) - You need to do DHCPv6 on the link to get a DHCP delegation. - Some ISPs doesn’t issue a /64 on the link, the “assumption” then you route direct on the link - Others do, but somehow not SLAAC
